laptop required classes

I love Clemson and how thinks work here, but there has been a little thing that has bothered me since I have been here. Laptop required classes should be taken in a computer lab. There is always someone in the class who is having problems with their laptop. My computer cut off during an exam earlier in the semester. This is something Clemson should really look into. Atleast let the students take tests in a computer lab so they don't have to worry about their computer crashing.

problem with the ipad

So I think I figured out the main problem with the ipad. You are not able to oipen up multiple windows or multiple tabs. This proves it is more like a regular iphone or i touch, and not more like a laptop. How are you going to leave that simple detail out. Everyone who uses the internet always has multiple windows or multiple tabs up. I just thought that people should no this fact about the ipad.

xm radio

So recently I purchase an xm radio. The main reason for this purchase was that fact I was getting tired of my itunes music, cds get old in a week, and fm/am radio is just terrible. Let me tell you one thing, xm is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Not only do you get to hear great music from different categories, but you also get sports channels, new channels, comedy channels, and the best of all, the Howard Stern show. I recommend everyone to go out and buy xm radio. I am very happy with my purchase.

spring break

Spring Break- one of my favorite times of the year. I see spring break as an opportunity to travel somewhere tropical. I also try to go some place I have never traveled to before. This year, my friends and I decided on Key West, Florida. This was one of the best decisions we have made in a while due to the fact that half of Clemson was down for the break. There were also many other college students down there which made it a great time. No details will shared but I will say that the trip was a very successful one. I am glad I made the decision to have my last spring break college down in Key West.

I want an Apple

After completing my memo on Apple computers, I realized how badly I want one. I have wanted one for while because my dell that I have right now is old and crashes daily, but after finishing this project I felt like I needed a Mac Pro Book as soon as possible. My dell has treated me well for my college years, but for this past year it has been a HUGE pain in my ass. I feel that it is time for me to move on from dell and purchase a new Mac Pro Book as soon as possible. The only thing that is holding me back is the fact that they are very expensive.

After writing this past paper for this class, I realized how much I dislike writing papers. I am glad I decided to become business major due to the fact that you do not have to write a lot of papers. I would be happy if I did not have to write a paper for the rest of my college career.

Olympics

So like I have been doing lately, I tuned in for the Olympics last night. The main event for last night was the United States vs. Canada ice hockey match. First of all, I would like to let everyone know that hockey is not one of my favorite sports, but I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the game last night. The United States was able to get the victory 5 to 3. Canada is the favorite in ice hockey for the Olympic games, so this was a big deal for the United States to get the victory last night.

Furthermore, I have really enjoyed the winter Olympics this year. My favorite event I watched so far was the halfpipe for snowboarding. It is incredible to watch what Shaun White can do to the rest of competition. It looks like he is facing little children when he competes.

excel

So I have a big test coming up for my management 312 class, also know decision models management, and the majority of the test will be taken using excel. Let me say one thing about microsoft excel, I hate it with a passion. I feel like someone who was pissed off at the world created excel to make everyone feel as miserable is he/she does. It is a terrible technology that has not been updated for a very long time. The other thing I hate about excel is that so many people and companies use it, and everyone you talked to hates it as well. It is time for microsoft to come out with a easier and better program.

super bowl

Tonight was the biggest night in american football, super bowl sunday. Many expected, like myself, Peyton Manning and the Colts would take home the trophy but the nation was shocked. The New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees once again found away to pull off a miracle. To be honest, I am very happy for the Saints due to the fact that the city of New Orleans needed something positive like this after the damage Hurricane Katrina left behind. This ended up being a pretty good super bowl besides the doritos commercials.

ipad

First of all I would like to mention that the Clemson basketball game tonight was one of the worst basketball games I have ever witnessed. Although it was a big win for the tigers, I feel like I was watching an eighth grade women's basketball.

Now on to the topic at hand. I have recently seen some new ads on the ipad. The ipad is a new apple product that seems to be a bigger and better ipod touch. I feel that this new product does not have to many new features. All it is to me is a big ipod with a better internet connection. I don't find this product very exciting, especially when u think about apple and all their new products and features that have been released in recent years. This invention seems like a lazy idea in my head. I think apple should take more time in releasing a new product instead trying to get things out into the market so quickly.

Sunday Night Football

This is my first post...I know I'm supposed to talk about emerging technologies for my management 455 class, but since this is my first post, I think it would be more fitting to talk about something that interests me.

All afternoon I have been watching AFC and NFC championship games due to the fact that I am an avid football fan. While watching these games I've noticed that there has been far too many commercials which has made me loose interest in these playoff games. All week I have been looking forward to watching these big matchups, but now I'm just kind of annoyed. Oh well, I guess I am just used to going to the Clemson football games. Maybe they can figure out a technology to reduce the commercial breaks. There...I said a little something about technology.
